These are embedded inside the laptop casing and often require partial or full disassembly.

Features:

• Connected via ribbon cables or plugs

• Found in ultrabooks, MacBooks, and newer consumer laptops

Pros:

• Sleeker design

• Better space optimization

• Often larger capacity

Cons:

• Requires tools and technical skill to replace

• Risk of damaging internal components

• Not ideal for field servicing

How to Identify Your Battery Type

• Check the underside of your laptop — if there's a battery latch, it's removable.

• Look up your model number + “battery replacement” to find teardown guides.

• If the battery is listed as part of the top case assembly, it’s internal.
